Deville's is in the details
I am back with another photoshoot, with the fabulous Louve Leroy, inspired by the outfit worn by Joan Crawford in the film Grand Hotel - 1932 - by Edmund Goulding, with also a slightly Cruella De Ville twist. This idea of the shoot has been placed in my mind by Loulou on our way back to our first shoot together in Chinatown last year. Both French and owning a large collection of berets, she mentioned that she would love a black and white one, but can't find it anywhere. She loves Cruella's fashion style, all black and white, with just a touch of red. The idea has worked in the background of my mind for a long time, slowly, as it usually does, and all came together when I came across this jumpsuit inspired by the one Joan Crawford is wearing on the promo shots for the film. Little story, she is not wearing this outfit in the film actually! I watched it again when I was working on the shoot, but no, it is not in! Funny how an outfit can be so iconic and not even being actually in any scene of the film. Whatever! Hope you'll enjoy it!
