SO FAR SO NOIR
The dead cry for no one
Two of my favorite things are black and white photography, and hanging out in cemeteries... my happy places! Here's the 2 reunited, enjoy if you have a dark soul like mine.
Exploring the lost and dodgy parts of the old gothic graveyards is the best way to find some beautiful and damaged graves, each time I always find my favorite tombstone, which makes that cemetery special to me. I'm often overwhelmed by the strength of the statues, sometimes so real that they seem to have been alive at some point. I love details and stories they can tell.
These photos have been taken at:
Highgate, Tower Hamlets, West Norwood, Hampstead, Abney Park, Brompton, Nunhead, Bruce Grove - London
Cimitero Delle Fontanelle (actually some catacombs) - Naples, Italy
Montjuic and cemetery de Pueblonuevo - Barcelona, Spain
Ostra Kyrkogarden - Gothenburg, Sweden
