Twin Peaks Inspired Series
Since I discovered the series Twin Peaks back in the 90s, my obsession for David Lynch and his remarkable work has never faded. Back in my teenager years, I was using any kind of art I found to express myself. I was painting, using oil painting, I was writing, I started playing the guitar - but I wasn't very talented for being a musician. I guess I don't have the patience to practice all over and over again the same bits. It has to change, to move, to go fast.
I wanted desperately to do photography, but my mother couldn't afford to buy me a camera. So I started to take photos of cemeteries and my friends with a £10 disposable film camera. And I found a book on how to develop films in a car boot sale, so I was living it by procuration. What I am doing now is not that far from this though... I am still taking photos of cemeteries and my friends :D
David Lynch is such an inspiration for me because his work combines video, photography, animation and painting. Sound as well. It is a complete universe. I had to do a series inspired from Twin Peaks. I just had to. That was great fun, I hope you like it too!
